Thanks to Glamour Reese Witherspoon for the link, Christina was recently interviewed by itv News in the UK. Here is the interview, which can be found by following this link.

“Screen beauty Christina Ricci sports a pig’s nose in her latest movie Penelope, which also stars Reese Witherspoon.

It’s a modern twist on the traditional Beauty and the Beast fairytale.

Penelope can only get rid of her snout, part of a family curse, through learning to accept herself and by finding love.

Ricci said: “It’s all about sort of self acceptance and not hating yourself. But mostly, I think, beyond all that, we are just trying to make a really gorgeous, entertaining film. A fantasy.

“I mean, this story takes place very much inside a kind of a created, surrealistic, kind of world. So, hopefully people will just get wrapped up in the fantasy of all of it.”

Ricci has been acting since she was a child and has starred in a string of Hollywood hits, including her first movie, Mermaids, with Winona Ryder, Addams Family, Sleepy Hollow and critically-acclaimed film The Ice Storm.

She also starred as Charlize Theron’s lover in Monster, the story of serial killer Aileen Wuornos.”
