Christina Ricci: actress turned designer?

The recently engaged starlet chatted with Life & Style at the Family Equality Council’s 2013 Night at the Pier in NYC where she revealed something quite exciting about her wedding to James Heerdegen.

“So far, we have the venue, we have a caterer and I have someone working on a dress,” she told Life & Style “I am [helping design it], yeah. It’s fun. We are still in the initial sketching stages.”

The star wouldn’t dish anything more than that, but did explain that she’s solo in planning it all.

“[Jimmy] is not really into fashion that much,” the 33-year-old shared. “He’s not even going to help plan the wedding. He’s working. He’s always working.”

And work is just how the pair got together! Christina met the dolly grip on set of the short-lived ABC show Pan Am in 2012.

Even though she’s busy planning her nuptials, Christina admits she’s hard at work herself, “I’m doing a ton of press right now for Smurfs 2.”

The beauty got engaged to James in late 2012 after nearly a year of dating. They confirmed the news in February. This is the second engagement for the petite starlet. She was engaged to comedian Owen Benjamin before calling it off in June 2009.
