RAINN – Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation’s largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org, and publicizes the hotline’s free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual assault, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

Stand Up To Cancer

Working with the top experts in cancer research, Stand Up To Cancer is forging a new way to develop breakthroughs that will end cancer. We’re putting together the best and the brightest minds in cancer research – those on the edge of accomplishment – investing in their projects and taking the bureaucratic obstacles out of their way. We are building interdisciplinary “Dream Teams” of scientists, clinicians, technicians and other experts, who will focus on a specific cancer problem. We’ll track their progress in real time, so that everyone who invests can see how their participation is creating real change.

Funds will be administered by the American Association for Cancer Research, the largest scientific organization in the world focusing on every aspect of high-quality, innovative cancer research. Together with their scientific Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee, comprised of world-class scientists across several disciplines and patient advocates, the most promising projects will be identified.

VOX – Voices for Planned Parenthood

VOX is a program that educates young Americans about the threats to reproductive health and rights and mobilizes them in support of reproductive freedom.
The program is part of the Planned Parenthood Responsible Choices Action Agenda, a proactive advocacy and service initiative to expand and secure reproductive rights in the next century.
Vox is the Latin word for “voice”. Planned Parenthood wants to ensure that Congress hears the vox populi – “the voice of the people.”

24 Hour Plays – Working Playground

On September 15, 2003, Christina participated in a 24 Hour Plays benefit in which herself and actors Brooke Shields, Rosie Perez, Billy Crudup, Alan Cumming, Griffin Dunne, Bebe Neuwirth, Fisher Stevens, Liev Schreiber and Sam Rockwell produced and performed several plays within 24 hours. All proceeds from this event were donated to Working Playground.
Working Playground is “a not-for-profit cultural organization that brings the arts to children and school communities that are lacking the opportunity and resources to study an art form.” They strive to “support schools and communities by creating far-reaching arts education programs that help young people to achieve their goals.”
